Punda milia is swahili for zebra. It's part of the horse family, Equidae, native to central and southern Africa. The Zebra is well known for its distinctive black and white stripes, it is a pretty animal. It reminds me that life has more than one side. In Uganda poverty is high and there are difficult situations but life goes on. Uganda is an interesting and lovely country, the Pearl of Africa, it is. This blog attempts to share various conditions of coping with life in the country.

Fuel
Strange!! The price of diesel has always been less than that of petro. Today diesel is slightly high in Kampala the main city. I hope the price does not continue going higher. If it does life may become harder for ordinary Ugandans.
And interestingly a lot of the filling stations that show the diesel price upped don't even have any diesel. I found out the hard way when I had to go through eight at one time to find diesel to take me on a journey of 10Kms. And ironically, I guess I spent half the amount of what I'd-a used on this journey looking for the filling stations. Love the punda-milia! nice blog
