Nagawa like many kids has to improvise, to find something to play with. Often most parents can not afford to buy toys for their children. Priority is accorded to finding a meal. This gives children no option but to use what is available around them. Usually every old unused item in the home becomes a toy to play with.Punda milia is swahili for zebra. It's part of the horse family, Equidae, native to central and southern Africa. The Zebra is well known for its distinctive black and white stripes, it is a pretty animal. It reminds me that life has more than one side. In Uganda poverty is high and there are difficult situations but life goes on. Uganda is an interesting and lovely country, the Pearl of Africa, it is. This blog attempts to share various conditions of coping with life in the country.

A small point, but THIS is how you say zebra in Swahili: http://research.yale.edu/cgi-bin/swahili/lookup.cgi?Word=zebra&EngP=1
